Website Update

Hey Beauty Fanatics!

So much has been going on, which is why I have been away for so long!  Between school, mommy duties, and makeup gigs, there is barely any time for blogging.

BUT...wait for it...my official website is up and running!  I'll be maintaining a new blog that can be found at www.makeupmyeyes.com so please be sure to check it out. I was trying to figure out a way to maintain this same blog, but it ends up being way too difficult.

Please be sure to check out my work, info and new blog.

Thanks,
Leilani :)

MAC In the Gallery Look Purple

Hi Beauty Fanatics!

Here's a look using the In the Gallery Eyeshadow Quad from the new MAC Makeup Art Cosmetics Fall 2009 Collection. The first two pictures you'll see are strictly using the colors from the quad. If you prefer a darker look, you can add some carbon eyeshadow or any matte black eyeshadow to darken it up a bit as I did in the last two pictures. Both are very wearable for both day and night.

Here's What I Used:
FACE:
-Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
-MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation NC42
-Bare Escentuals Tinted Mineral Vei
-NARS Orgasm Blush
EYES:
-UDDP
-NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil Milk
-MAC Lightfall ES (all over eye as base & highlight)
-MAC Look at the Eyes ES (all over lid & lower lash line)
-MAC In the Gallery ES (Crease)
-MAC Private Viewing ES (Outer V & Outer 1/3 of lower lash line)
-MAC Carbon ES (Outer V in 2nd & 3rd Pictures)
-Loreal HIP Creme Liner in Black
-MAC Engraved (Lower Waterline)
-Estee Lauder Black Mascara
Lips:
-MAC C-Thru Lipglass
Please let me know what you think
I hope you enjoyed it!

Prom: Neutral

Hey Beauty Fanatics!

I'm back with a neutral prom look. This could also be used as an everyday neutral. This is the same model that I used in the prom shoot, but this time I did her makeup for her own prom. We decided to go with a neutral look since her dress was a deep satin purple. Since we wanted all the attention to go to her dress, I played down the eyes, but created a simple, yet eye-popping look.

What I used:

FACE
-Smashbox Photofinish Primer
-Revlon Colorstay for Combination/Oily Skin in Golden Beige
-Bare Escentuals Tinted Mineral Veil

Cheeks
-MAC Fun & Games Beauty Powder Blush (HK Collection)

Eyes
-Urban Decay Primer Potion
-MAC Naked Lunch ES (all over lid & brow bone)
-MAC Woodwinked ES (outer v, crease, outer 1/3 lower lashline)
-MAC Vanilla Pigment (tear duct)
-Loreal Hip Cream Liner in Black
-MAC Engraved Eyeliner (lower lashline)
-Lashblast Mascara in Black

Lips
-MAC C-Thru Lipglass

That's it! Pretty simple!

Stay tuned for the other prom look that I did that same day. It's another neutral look , but on tanned skin.

Hope you liked it!

Photoshoot: Prom

Hey Beauty Fanatics!

I'm back with another shoot. This time we did a prom shoot! I know a lot of schools have already had prom, but this will work for graduation or any other special events. This is a great one because since, the model was younger, I toned down the makeup without losing some color. So, if you don't like too much makeup or are a teen, this will work for you. I mainly worked to cover some redness and blemishes, but she had beautiful skin to begin with and was so much fun to work with!

Here's what I used:

FACE
-Smashbox Photo Finish Primer
-Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation in Ivory (to conceal)
-Revlon Colorstay Liquid Foundation in Medium Beige
-Bare Escentuals Tinted Mineral Veil

Cheeks
-NARS Orgasm Blush
-Physician Formula Bronzer in Baked Tan

Eyes
-Urban Decay Primer Potion
-Loreal Hip Duo Eyeshadow in Sculpted (pink shade all over lid)
-Loreal Hip Duo Eyeshadow in Wicked (purple shade on outer v & crease)
-MAC Vanilla Pigment (inner tear duct)
-Loreal Hip Cream Liner in Black
-Too Faced Lash Injection Mascara in Black

Lips
-NYX Lipliner in Natural
-MAC Mouthwatering Lip Glass

Hope you liked it!
